"We hope our effort will help to raise a ray of hope for those who desperately need these services."

CRP is working for the last 38 years for mainstreaming the physically challenged people into the society. In fiscal year 2016-2017, we found much reason to celebrate as we moved forward boldly with our services for the most marginalized community of Bangladesh. But disability has its own stigma and such people are often left behind. For achieving Sustainable Development Goals of the government and for building a truly inclusive society, the stigma and discrimination that oppresses those with a disability must be confronted and uprooted.

During the year the dedicated, bold and courageous team of CRP has worked relentlessly to bring about meaningful changes in the life of our beneficiaries. We have expanded our services to 12 different locations across the country to serve the people in their community. With this aim we have also conducted outreach programmes and mobile clinics. We have also tried to introduce new services such as manufacturing of orthopaedic shoes and occupational therapy support for mental health patients. Next year we are planning to introduce a day centre for these patients. We hope our effort will help to raise a ray of hope for those who desperately need these services.

This annual report gives a brief description of the work that has been carried out over the last year. We recognize with gratitude the efforts of CRP staff members, students, volunteers, donors and patrons, from home and abroad. We can confidently say that, the necessary practical help, financial support, prayers for those who need our assistance will always be forthcoming in the years ahead. This is because of you, who have always stood beside us since CRP commenced its journey.
