Inauguration of CRP Manikganj centre

On 29.03.2022 CRP launched its new branch in Manikganj,12 Shantunu Rai Sarani,West Dashra, Manikganj. State minister for the ministry of social welfare Md Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru inaugurated the centre through a program which started with cultural performance of William and Marie Taylor inclusive school. Executive Director of CRP Dr. Md. Soharb Hossain presided over the inaugural ceremony that was addressed by CRP founder and Coordinator and honorable guest Dr. Valerie A. Taylor.

Director General of NGO Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office KM Tariqul Islam, Bangladesh UNDP Assistant Resident Representative Sardar M Asaduzzzaman, PPM-BAR, SP Manikganj Muhammad Golam Azad Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Manikganj, Md. Sanwarul Haque and Mayor, Manikgan Pouroshava Mohammad Romzan Ali were also present as special guest. At the end of the discussion, sewing machines were distributed among the disabled trainees. After the ceremony, the Minister inaugurated the CRP building.

CRP Manikganj Center has been set up on about four acres of land at West Dashra in Manikganj Municipality at the cost of Tk 10.75 crores. Of the total costs, the government has provided Tk 8.57 crores in grants and the rest by the CRP’s own fund while the entire land has been donated by Raihana Ahmad. The project started on July 15, 2020.

CRP provides free training in various trade courses aimed at making the country's disadvantaged people economically self-sufficient. CRP has been working for almost 42 years. Through this, about 6,000 paralyzed people have been trained. Half of whom are making a living by doing various kinds of work.
