Dr Valerie Ann Taylor received the ‘Honorary Award’ for her outstanding contribution to the development of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
In her absence, her two daughters Akhinur Khanom jyoti and Popy Taylor received the award. The award ceremony took place on CRP Mirpur Centre, Mirpur-14, Dhaka on 2nd July, 2022.Rasheda K. Choudhury, Former Adviser, Caretaker Government and Executive Director of CAMPE was the chief guest of the program. Dr. Hemayet Hossain, Chairman of BDDT and Md. Moniruzzaman Khan, Founder and Managing Trustee of BDDT shared their views. Other officials, dignitaries, NGO representatives and persons with disabilities were also present at the event.
BDDT is a nongovernmental and nonpolitical voluntary organization, has been working in line with its objective for developing the lives of persons with disabilities since 2009. The organization is registered with NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) of Bangladesh Government. BDDT has selected 7 honorable persons including Dr. Valerie A. Taylor to honor them for their outstanding contribution for the development of persons with disabilities.
