The CRP Chattogram - A.K. Khan Centre provides quality rehabilitation services to more than 3,000 new local people annually. The centre offers a diverse range of treatments, specialising in:
- Medical Consultancy
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Prosthetics and Orthotics Services
- Domiciliary (home-based) services
The centre operates from eight buildings totaling 20,076 sq. ft., located on leased land in Kalurghat, Mohora, Chandgaon, Chattogram, provided by the A.K. Khan Foundation. Of these, seven are one-storied buildings, and one is two-storied, housing administration, therapy, and storage services. The remaining buildings serve various functions, including patient accommodation and a canteen.
The centre's annual financial transactions range from 15 to 16 million BDT, with an income-expenditure ratio of 102.65%.
Next Plan of Action:
CRP aims to significantly expand the Chattogram centre by:
- Developing a 10-story building to accommodate growing service demands
- Procuring modern therapeutic equipment
- Establishing a therapeutic park and sensory integration garden
- Improving internal infrastructure, including pathways.
