American Friends of CRP is a non-profit charitable organization which is authorized to raise and send funds to CRP, Bangladesh and to provide tax exemption receipts to American donors (IRS EIN 46-1244535). In the year 2012, MS Valerie Taylor, the founder of Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Bangladesh visited Houston and introduced CRP and explained the mission and vision of CRP to the Bangladeshi community during her visit to Houston.The Friends of CRP-Germany was established in 2000 and obtained its registered charity status in 2001, thus donations can be reduced from taxes. Since then, FCRP-Germany, which is based in Munich, has provided consistent support for CRP. Regular fundraising events are held in and around the Munich area, like an annual garage flee market, stands at local bazars and fairs and tombolas. One of the most notable fundraising achievements of FCRP-Germany was the donation of €65,000 for construction of a new Paediatric Unit at CRP.
