World Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Day Celebration at CRP

CRP observed World Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Day on 5 September 2024, with the theme “End Violence - Protect Spinal Cord”. Dr. Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, Executive Director of CRP inaugurated the celebration with a rally. CRP arranged a 5-day sports competition for SCI patients admitted to CRP. Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Director General, NGO Affairs Bureau was present as the chief guest and Mr. Tariqual Islam Sajeeb, Program Officer- Bangladesh, CBM Global Disability Inclusion was the special guest of the ceremony. Dr. Mohammed Shayemul Huda, Upazila Health & Family Planning Officer, Savar also joined the program as a special guest. The program is chaired by the Executive Director of CRP, and attended by the SCI patients and senior staff members of CRP. Two SCI patients, Ms. Kamrunnahar and Mr. Mijan share their experience with CRP. The program ended with a spectacle cultural event by SCI patients.
