The follow up exhibition of “Duets in Metal and Water” by Arham Ul Huq Chowdhury, held in the Gulshan-2, Lake Park and was organized by Gulshan Society. The series of metal sculptured fountains are mostly made with the scraps from the mobility aid making workshop of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) in Savar. The opening ceremony of this three weeks exhibition was held at Gulshan-2, Lake Park on 20th April 2019. The Chief Guest of the programme was Mr. Gowher Rizvi, International Affairs adviser to the prime minister of Bangladesh. Robert Chatterton Dickson, the High Commissioner of the United Kingdom was the special guest. Along with many reputed figures, the president and other members of Gulshan society attended the programme. Barrister Shukla Sarwat Siraj, Secretary of Gulshan Society chaired the event. After the inauguration ceremony the guests visited the exhibition ground. Everyone praised the art pieces highly and appreciated the artist’s work for supporting CRP’s activities. A team from CRP including 35 persons with disabilities and 7 staff attended the event. All proceeds from the sale of this exhibition will be forwarded to the welfare fund of CRP for the treatment and rehabilitation of the poor people with disabilities.
