Admission Test Guidelines for Bangladeshi Students
Scholarships and Admission to M.Sc. in Rehabilitation Science (9th batch; July 2025 intake)
Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI), the academic institute of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) under the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh is inviting applications from the SAARC member countries for scholarships and admission to its Eighth batch of M.Sc. in Rehabilitation Science (2 years) program funded by SAARC Development Fund (SDF).
Scholarships detail: Maximum 45 seats will be available for admission in the 9th batch (July 2025 intake). However, 42 seats for admission with scholarships: thirty (30) full scholarships will be reserved for students from SAARC member countries except Bangladesh. Six (06) full scholarships and six (06) partial scholarships will be available for students from Bangladesh. Three (03) seats will be available for self-financing students. The number seats and scholarships depend on the discretion of the University of Dhaka and SAARC Development Fund (SDF).
The scholarship covers 2 years: the whole duration of the master’s program. The scholarship period cannot be altered or extended beyond the study program period. The tuition fee will be paid directly to the institute. There are no additional grants for family members. Eligibility: Candidates must be citizens of any of the SAARC member countries. Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy/ Speech and Language Therapy, Medicine, Nursing, Prosthetics & Orthotics or an equivalent degree in health-related subjects from a public university or recognized by the relevant government authority. Candidates must have completed at least one year internship training/work experience in a recognized hospital/institute/center approved by the relevant government authority.

Selection of candidates from SAARC Member States except Bangladesh (international students): Candidates will be nominated for admission and scholarship based on several selection points including – Academic performance, English proficiency, relevant experience, number of publications and writing a motivation letter.
Selection of candidates from Bangladesh: Candidates will be nominated for admission and scholarship based on several selection points including – Academic performance, English proficiency, relevant experience, number of publications and writing a motivation letter. In addition, candidate will sit for an admission test (written & viva examination).
