Md. Kamruzzaman is 30 years old and comes from Satkhira. He used to pick coconuts to support his family of 4. Four years back, He became paralyzed from a spinal cord injury by falling from a coconut tree. He was paralyzed from the waist down. After his accident he was taken to KAM Hospital in India. After returning from India, pressure sore developed on his back. He suffered for four years due to his pressure sores and these did not heal fully. He started to beg after his accident in order to bear his family cost. He was referred to CRP from Satkhira General Hospital. He has been treated in CRP for 3 months and is receiving medical care, physiotherapy, counseling and occupational therapy treatment here. He is using a long trolley for his pressure sores which is almost healed. Following discharge, he wants to undergo the shop-management training at CRP, to start a shop in his village to support his family financially, instead of begging. CRP and its generous donors are bearing his medical expenses. He is grateful to CRP and its donors for their enormous support.
