The Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) observed World Cerebral Palsy Day 2026 on 6 October under the global theme #UniqueAndUnited, celebrating the uniqueness, abilities and contributions of people with cerebral palsy.
The Paediatric Department of CRP and the William and Marie Taylor School jointly organised the day-long programme, featuring a rally, discussion session, art competition and cultural programme. The activities brought together children, families, professionals, students and staff to promote greater awareness, inclusion and understanding of cerebral palsy.
This year also marks the release in Bangladesh of “See The Person,” a film based on cerebral palsy and owned by CRP. The film highlights the importance of looking beyond disability and recognising each person for their abilities, aspirations and individuality.
On the occasion of Cerebral Palsy Day, Channel I will broadcast “See The Person” today, 6 October, at 3:05 PM.
CRP encourages everyone to watch the film and join the movement towards a more inclusive society where every person is recognised, respected and empowered.
