Courtesy Meeting between CRP Delegation and Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman

A delegation from the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman.

CRP’s Founder, Trustee Board Chairman, Trustee member, and Executive Director attended the meeting held on Sunday, 24 May 2026, at the Prime Minister’s Office within the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat.

During the discussion, important issues were addressed regarding the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, the development of an inclusive society, and the advancement and expansion of modern rehabilitation services in Bangladesh.

The Honorable Prime Minister expressed keen interest in CRP’s medical and rehabilitation services, educational programs for rehabilitation professionals, and CRP’s plans, demonstrating sincere engagement with these initiatives.

Particular emphasis was placed on the urgent creation of posts for graduate rehab professionals in government upazilas and specialised hospitals, as well as on the expansion of multidisciplinary rehabilitation healthcare services.

CRP extends its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Honorable Prime Minister for providing the opportunity to discuss a wide range of important issues, including the development of skilled healthcare professionals, ensuring access to assistive devices and technologies, and improving the rights and rehabilitation services of persons with disabilities and those at risk of disability, with deep interest and a forward-looking vision.
