Exploring Collaboration with BKMEA for a More Inclusive Apparel Industry

On 30 July 2026, a delegation from CRP paid a courtesy visit to the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) Dhaka Office to explore opportunities for collaboration in promoting disability inclusion and social empowerment in Bangladesh.

The meeting brought together CRP Founder Valerie Taylor, Executive Director Dr. Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, generous donor Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Mozammel Hossain, senior CRP staff, and BKMEA Directors Minhaz Hoque and Eng. Imran Kader Turjo, along with other BKMEA officials.

Both organisations exchanged ideas on creating meaningful employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, fostering inclusive workplaces, and contributing to sustainable social development within Bangladesh's apparel sector.
