Shariful Islam, 45, lived in Jessore district with wife and four children. He was a woodcutter and sometimes a butcher. In December 2015, Mr. Shariful went to collect firewood from a tree nearby his house. Unfortunately, he fell from tree and lost feeling in his lower body from waist. He was taken to government’s local hospital immediately. Doctor referred him to the Jessore General Hospital for better treatment. Doctors observed him for three days and suggested his family to shift him in CRP for further management. His wife left him after injury. During admission, he was unable to move his limbs and was depressed. CRP provided him Physiotherapy, medical care occupational therapy and counseling services. After seven months of treatment, he is now using wheelchair user and a confident man like others. He has also been discharged from CRP. As he is experienced in firewood sale business, he wants to reopen his business. He just wishes to live with his mother happily. He expresses gratitude towards CRP and gives thanks to employees for their enormous support towards him.
